Rockstar Games releases their next hotly anticipated title L.A Noire on the 17th May (US) and 20th May (EU) 2011. L.A Noire is set in postwar 1940s Los Angeles the player controls LAPD Officer Cole Philips experiencing his rise through the ranks as a patrol-man, traffic detective, homicide, vice and arson. The game blends investigative gameplay, mystery, crime solving and will feature thrilling action sequences. There will be a number of optional side missions alongside the main story ones.
L.A Noire also features advanced face mapping technology offering unprecedented facial animation, capturing the actual actors performances. With all this increased performance capture data the game will be spread across 3 DVDs for the Xbox360 and a single Bluray for the PS3.
Rockstar Games have a fantastic openworld pedigree with the Grand Theft Auto series and the excellent Red Dead Redemption. L.A Noire looks set to build on their past achievements as well as offering a setting and gameplay not often seen in gaming.
